Guten Morgen, alle (for those of you who don't know or don't remember from some of my earlier blogs, this is "Good morning, everyone" in German) how's everyone today? It's a Fantastic Friday & even if your weather might be bad right now, the sun will be sure to come out, or if your down on your luck, luck will hopefully come your way. Anyway, so today I wanted to talk about one of the this person named Erik Kain & his blog about 2014 VG Controversies. And I decided to talk about the 5th subject on his list of Controversies (I put the link for everyone down below, so feel free to check it out later if you want). And what this number has to do with is how VG's are rather sexist, or as Erik Kain calls it "Games are actually sexist, many people decide.". And really what there are obviously things that have & have not changed in this topic. What has changed though is that VG are more inclusive, rather than exclusive between people. However, what hasn't changed is there's obviously that wall which is placed between everyone, ESPECIALLY between different genders. Such as an example being it's very stereotypical to say "Oh girls shouldn't play FPS (First Person Shooter) games" (and just blow off any reasoning behind it as to why. A major example might include, say that girls shouldn't play Microsoft Studios Halo series or something like that. Anyway, that's all for today everyone, have a wonderful rest of your day & have a nice weekend. Catch y'all later. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2014/12/13/the-biggest-video-game-controversies-of-2014/ |
